Losing yourself doesn’t happen over night.
For me, it was the accumulation of every moment in my life where instead of choosing myself - I chose something else. A relationship, a job, etc. Those moments compounded over time, quietly yet steadily, until the day when I looked myself in the mirror and asked: “is this all there is?”
I was 26 when I asked myself this. And when I realized that I no longer recognized my reflection and knew it was time to make a shift.
Instead of living a life where I neglected my needs (due to the overwhelming impulse to people please), I decided that in this chapter of my life - it was time to choose me.
This wasn’t easy, in fact, it felt against my nature. But I knew if started doing the work, future me would be thankful later.
So I took a deep dive and started dealing with all of things I had learned to keep inside. Over time I realized that I had the power to rewrite my story - and change my life:
And if I can do it, I promise - you can too.
Because the most important thing I’ve ever learned is that the best investment to make is -
You.
